How are reservations confirmed?
After you submit the Reservation format, we will confirm your request in less than 24 hours. Some hotels allow us to give immediate on-line confirmation. If a room is not available you will be notified of different date and hotel options. Once the reservation and the payment is confirmed, you will get your hotel voucher by e-mail. If you requested a transfer you will get the transfer voucher also by e-mail. Can I change or cancel my reservation with Kuartos.com? You can change, cancel or add to your reservation at any time. Some changes and cancellations may incur costs (click here for details).
How are payments made?
After submitting your reservation we can accept your credit card information on-line (via our secure connection and CardService Intl / AuthorizeNet credit card processing) or by sending your credit card information by fax Intl +52 (9) 848-3114. Upon confirming your reservation, the total room charge is charged to your credit card 15 days in advance of your first nights stay. For detailed payment information click here.
How do I get transportation from the airport to the hotel?
Although Kuartos.com is not a ground handler, we can provide for transportation between the airport and the hotel through third parties. By filling out the Transfer format, you will supply us with all the necessary details of your arrival. The transfer company will assist you throughout your stay and help you in booking tours, excursions, boat trips, diving trips and all kind of local activities.
What other services does Kuartos.com offer?

What is the difference between the Room Only Plan and the All-Inclusive Plan?
The majority of the resort hotels in the Mexican Caribbean area are operating under 2 different lodging plans. The Room Only plan consists of room only and has no meal plans, food & beverage, entertainment or other services included in the rate. Also called the European Plan Room Only requires adding of local and federal taxes. Kuartos.com adds those taxes automatically in its final price.
The All-Inclusive plan consists of room rate and includes also tips, taxes, meals and drinks. Most of the hotels include snacks, animation, shows, diving lessons, aerobics, non-motorized water sports and much more. Kuartos.com specifies in the hotel description the additional included items. Upon demand we will gladly send you a list with all the included specifications of the requested hotels by e-mail.
What different room types does Kuartos.com use and what do they mean?
Depending on the number of persons in your party, you will be allotted different room types. The Standard room is the most common and can be single, double, twin, triple and in some cases quadruple.
Single room: standard room with single occupancy (one person).
Double and Twin room: standard room for 2 persons. The rooms can either be with 2 Queen size beds or 1 King size bed. Although most of the hotels have both bed types, the reservation of a specific bed type is mostly on request and cannot be guaranteed. However, you can also request a specific bed type with your reservation and the hotels will honor your request based on their availability.
Triple room: standard room for 3 persons. A room with 2 Queen size beds is reserved for 3 people.
Quadruple room: standard room, sleeping 2 people in each Queen size bed.
Most hotels do not accept quadruple room reservations for parties of 4 adults. They do however accept 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults and 1 child in the same room and in many cases offer the child occupancy for free for children less than 12 years. See the specifics of each hotel.
Please note also that roll-aways and extra beds are not common in the hotels. Many hotels do have sofas. Some hotels have other categories beside the standard room, like suites, apartments and villas. You will find those categories on the hotel description page of Kuartos.com, together with detailed descriptions and rates.
Can I make a special request?
Special Requests are typically bed type preferences, location preferences, room amenity preferences, smoking/non-smoking rooms, handicap facilities which you can request on your Kuartos.com reservation. Special Requests are subject to your individual hotels availability and may not be possible or not be confirmed until you check into your hotel. However, we at Kuartos.com will communicate all the Special Requests to the hotel and ask for confirmation. If the hotel agrees to confirm them, we will advise you by e-mail.
What are the hotel sales and occupancy taxes on my room?
The hotel sales and occupancy taxes in the Mexican Caribbean area are 12 %. Although Room Only hotels do not include them in their rates, Kuartos.com automatically adds them to your final price. All-Inclusive hotels have the sales and occupancy taxes always included in the rate.
